KATAKANU ADVENTURE TOURS

Join us for a fabulous 2 hour trip around the South Walsham broads and along Fleet Dyke to the river Bure on one of our amazing Katakanus. With seating for up to 6 people, the Katakanu (pronounced cater-canoe) is a revolutionary catermaran style canoe, allowing you to stay high and dry while paddling. You'll set out from Fairhaven Woodland Gardens and be guided by one of our paddlesport leaders, learning to paddle together as a team as you head towards St Benets Abbey. If good progress is made then we hope there will be time to stop off at the historical St Benets Abbey but this is dependant on conditions and paddle ability. Along the route, keep a watchful eye out for some of our local residents such as swans, kingfishers, herons, cormorants, ducks, woodpeckers, geese, dragonflies, damselflies, falcons and even a rather shy pair of otters

No previous paddle experience is required. There must be at least one adult (18+) with the group on each boat.

You will need weather suitable clothing and as an optional addition, drinks/refreshments you might want to bring for the trip, binoculars, camera/phone and perhaps a wildlife identification book or app.

We will provide a paddle and buoyancy aid for each person on the katakanu.

- Please check in at least 30 minutes before your event start time.

- Includes garden entry from 10am.

- Tickets are non refundable unless we choose to close the gardens. Account credit or a revised date will be offered.

This ticket is not available for sale.
